Carlos has motivational speaking skills where he can speak to teens in a way that they genuinely understand. While Carlos has a great natural aptitude for public speaking, he also works diligently to hone his craft. Carlos is a joy to work with because he has the type of attitude that is optimistic in a very encouraging way.
He is a very caring, hilarious, engaging professor. He was an ex-parole officer so therefore he has some hands-on experience. He makes sure that everyone understands the topics so don't be afraid to ask questions. If you are having some problems/difficulties talk to him so that ya can work something out.
Carlos has so much experience in what he does that any campus or organization would be honored by his presence. He is a solid family man and is able to be vulnerable within his life lessons to help others. Carlos is such an exemplar educator that is wanting to give back his and other communities. I would work along side Carlos any day.

Dr. Robinson connected with me, and she really spoke to me. Something I liked about the workshop was that people got to share their feelings. Something I liked was that Dr. Robinson spoke about how we have to say positive things to ourselves and not think about the negative, and use the coping skills we learned today. I liked that I learned how to cope with my stress. We talked about relatable things, and it was fun.
Norberto Troncoso Jr.'s keynote at the Elevated Chicago Conference was unforgettable. His message-"do it scared" -struck a powerful chord. He reminded us that fear isn't a stop sign; it's proof we're growing. His words challenged and inspired me to take bold steps, even when I don't feel ready. I left feeling empowered and more courageous.
Working with Norberto has been an outstanding experience! He consistently goes above and beyond, bringing both energy and empathy to every session and team interaction. Norberto has a unique ability to connect with others almost instantly, which enhances not only the learning experience but the overall team dynamic. He leaves a meaningful impact wherever he's involved and any project, team, or learning experience is better because of it.
Joy was very beneficial in helping me to uncover certain areas of business and personal development at a pivotal moment of my life. I started out feeling confused and unsure about what my next steps were, to clarity along with a clear road map and understanding of how I'm going to get there. Joy is a gift, and shares it with optimism, grace and excellence.
Norberto demonstrated the importance of emotional intelligence, empathy, and building strong professional relationships to foster better collaboration. His ability to engage and educate was evident throughout the session, and he made complex concepts feel accessible and actionable.
Joy is an amazing speaker and fantastic writer. She will always leave you encouraged to keep pushing into your greatness. Personable, Inspirational and DYNAMIC!
Mrs. Washington's presentation was outstanding. It helped bring about a better understanding of abuse and also offered up guidance on different approaches that will assist victims resolve traumas/seek professional counseling to begin the healing process. It was a pleasure to have Mrs. Washington as one of our keynotes speakers addressing such a sensitive and delicate topic and we hope to work with her on our future endeavors.
Corey Burke is the definition of how all speakers should be like and I genuinely do think that by far he is the best speaker you could ever ask for. I had promised him to recommend him so I'm gladly doing it here.
While working with Mrs. Washington I have witnessed the passion, dedication and desire that she has for the well-being of young people, especially their mental health. Mrs. Washington shows a great deal of compassion, patience and understanding toward each young person that she works with. Whether it be speaking engagements or workshops, she is truly skilled at successfully engaging her audience and making them believe that they are capable of anything.
Avril Management Education serves middle school (grades 6–8), high school, collegiate institutions, corporations, and community-based organizations. Our work supports students, educators, administrators, staff, families, and corporate teams.
We operate in environments where culture, behavior, mental health, leadership development, and system stability directly affect performance and outcomes. All services are developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned, and customized to meet institutional needs.
AM is not a single-service vendor—we are an integrated solutions partner.
Most providers operate in silos: mental health separated from discipline, mentorship disconnected from instruction, professional development isolated from culture. AM deploys coordinated teams of licensed clinicians, educators, mentors, and prevention specialists working within one unified framework: the AVRIL Core Pillars.
We do not duplicate systems. We stabilize them, strengthen them, and transfer ownership back to institutions with measurable, sustainable results.
Yes. AM provides both clinical and non-clinical services through clearly defined service divisions.
AM is DOE vendor-certified, Project Pivot vendors, M/WBE certified, accredited, bilingual (Spanish & Haitian Creole), and operates under strict confidentiality protocols, role-based data access, and institution-approved reporting structures. Institutions retain full ownership of their data at all times.
Implementation begins with a consultation and needs assessment. Based on findings, AM deploys the appropriate AM Ambassadors and designs a customized service plan aligned to institutional goals.
Service delivery may include:
Engagements range from short-term (6–10 weeks) to annual, renewable partnerships, with clear milestones, reporting, and accountability throughout.
Institutions partner with AM for measurable improvement, not temporary motivation.
